Back around 2004, when Joshua Blair graduated from high school, he had an idea about aircraft sales. After relaying frequent messages from an aircraft broker to his boss at the local airport FBO, Blair saw a need for helping pilots (especially new pilots) find the best fit aircraft for their missions, along with the need for a place to source quality used aircraft parts.

The original name was Aircraft-Find.com (Blair still owns this domain). Later the name Blaircraft was a suggestion from a friend during a discussion about the idea of this site. After years of planning, Blaircraft Find is finally in the works of providing an aircraft search system like no other sites currently offer, even going in to 2024.

The parts side of Blaircraft Find will grow with inventory of various aircraft parts, including the following manufactures: Lycoming, Continental, Ranger Engines, Piper, Cessna, Mooney and Fairchild.
